CONDITION ::: IN VERY GOOD ANTQUE CONDITION. THE UNIT IS IN SOLLID CONDITION. WE HAVE NOT CLEANED OR DONE ANYTHING TO THIS TOY. IT IS AS WE FOUND IN A VERY OLD ESTATE.
WILKINS Cast Iron “Puritan” TOY STEAMBOAT Antique 1888-1900
Terrific cast iron Wilkins steamboat toy of the Puritan, from the late 19th century. TheSS Puritan was a luxury steamboat of the famous Fall River Line. Built in 1888 in Chester, Pennsylvania, it was a massive 420-foot vessel designed to carry passengers in Italian Renaissance-style opulence across Long Island Sound between New York City and Fall River, Massachusetts.
Wilkins Cast Iron – Hook and Ladder – Three Horse Team with working bell – 1910
It’s a combination of cast iron and steel. Includes four original wooden ladders. It’s missing the wire ladder racks for the two long ladders, the steering wheel for the rear fireman (if it had one originally) and the chains and string reins for the three horse team.
