Henry rides the trunk of a white circus elephant with the mahout on top. All celluloid wind-up toy in the original box with the key. Made in Japan in the 1920’s or 30’s. The celluloid is in great condition all around.

Includes the original cardboard parts tubes with tin lids, boiler shell, and early enclosed electric motor. (untested). The boxes show honest wear, minor paint loss, scratches, and light oxidation typical of 70-90+ year-old steel and wood.

Acquired from an estate, this listing is for an Antique Dandy Jim “The Clown Dancer” Tin Lithograph Wind-Up Toy, manufactured by Unique Art Co., the base features colorful lithographed carnival scenes with integrated wind-up key, the clown dancer stands atop of the building and when wound he is designed to hop and rotate around on top of the base. Measures approx. 5″ x 3-3/8″ x 10-1/4″ h. Needs repair, does not operate when wound, the paint has worn spots with chips and flakes. See photo’s, email with any questions.
